The Balikpapan City Container Depot PPP Project is a strategic logistics initiative to strengthen Balikpapan's role as the main gateway to the national capital and a distribution center for Eastern Indonesia. This project includes the planning, construction, and operation of a modern container depot covering approximately 15.3 hectares with the following facilities: Container Yard (container stacking and storage). Open and closed warehouses for various types of goods. PKB (heavy vehicle testing) facilities. Supporting facilities: access roads, parking, weighbridge, office. Public facilities and rest areas: prayer room, restrooms, driver rest area. Green Open Space (RTH) for environmental balance. Through the PPP scheme, the private sector plays a role in financing, construction, and operations, while the government provides regulatory and licensing support. This project is expected to improve logistics efficiency, reduce distribution costs, and strengthen the competitiveness of Balikpapan and East Kalimantan as national logistics hubs.
